On Saturday 26 May, the ISL early childhood team hosted a meeting of the Early Learning Friends (ELFs) group. A total of 30 early childhood specialists met in our Early Childhood Centre (ECC) for a ‘job alike’ session, focussing on 'Making effective use of the outdoor learning spaces'.
The meeting considered how specialists can ensure they make effective use of their outdoor learning spaces, have a positive impact on young learners' learning, well-being and development.
The participants shared pictures of their outdoor learning spaces, discussed activities that have been successful in these spaces and considered new activities they could implement in the following few weeks.
The visiting teachers also had an opportunity to view our ECC, guided in small groups by the team members.
A very fruitful morning where all participants agreed on how good it is to collaborate with other early childhood specialists, share ideas, good practice and thoughts.
