Concert Band

Concert Band is one of ISL’s longest running musical ensembles, made up of brass, woodwind, percussion, and some guest stringed instruments. We play a huge variety of repertoire including music from film and television, classical music, jazz, blues and pop music, meeting once a week before school in the music room for rehearsals. Concert Band performs at all the main concerts at ISL including the Gala and Spring concerts, and always entertain the school in final assemblies. They also appear at numerous other events throughout the year, including the ISL Spring Fair and in Pully’s Schubertiade des Enfants.

Students wishing to take part in Concert Band should be having lessons either in or out of school on one of the participating instruments (see below). The variety of music we play means students can start rehearsing almost straight away. Several of our professional tutors rehearse and perform in Concert Band alongside the students to support them.
