Academic excellence makes ISL the school of choice.
ISL is highly regarded for its academic excellence and has been for over 50 years. With teachers who are passionate about their subject areas and dedicated to the students they teach, we prepare students for entry to the very best universities in the world.
Excellence is the norm throughout the school. From when a child first enters ISL at the age of three in our Early Childhood Centre, where the focus is on learning through play, until they leave the end of Year 13, students experience a rigorous and coherent education which prepares them for the demands of an ever-changing future.
In the Primary Years Programme, children from 3 to 11 years old are encouraged to be inquirers as they explore, analyse and make connections in an atmosphere of curiosity and creativity.
The Middle Years Programme, for students from 11 to 16 years old, comprises eight subject groups, providing a broad and balanced education. The focus is on conceptual, big-picture, inter-disciplinary learning, with students developing an advanced skill set of approaches to their learning.
The IB Diploma Programme is the culmination of the students’ academic journey at the school. This academically rigorous, broad and balanced curriculum is recognised and respected by the world’s leading universities. It comprises six subject areas; Creativity, Action and Service; Theory of Knowledge and an Extended Essay. ISL has been an IB Diploma school for 15 years. Its well-established and successful programme allows students to achieve excellent final IB Diploma Results.
