DEI Surveying for Students and Staff

In our continued work on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), we identified that we have limited data on many aspects of DEI for our students, staff, and community.  Currently, we are working in collaboration with the Global Equality Collective (GEC) who have designed the world’s first DEI survey for schools. The survey is comprehensive and is currently being rolled out in three stages; the leadership team, staff, and finally to older students. 

The student surveys are comprehensive and have all been designed to understand and capture student voice when it comes to inclusion and belonging. Older students will complete them with careful guidance and support from their teachers and DEI Coordinators, Ji Foof and Daniel Grocott. 

The survey results will be invaluable for the DEI Coordinators to continue the work of supporting students, staff and community in ISL’s areas of need for DEI. We look forward to sharing more about our learning from the surveys and the work we do to make our community as inclusive as possible.
